If you are struggling to find real answers for your ill-health, you are not alone.

How We Can Help

Many of our patients arrive at Barelycorn Clinic after being seen by conventional medicine and told that everything is “fine” – yet they know deep down that something isn’t right.

This was also my personal journey.

After experiencing gruelling and disabling health issues myself, I took a deep dive into functional medicine to uncover the root causes of my symptoms and restore my health. From that experience, I built a functional health practice to help others do the same.

At Barelycorn Clinic, we specialise in hormonal health (perimenopause and menopause), adrenal dysfunction and gut health, supported by extensive personal and professional experience, alongside years of advanced training and research.

Our Approach

As a nurse practitioner with over 26 years of experience in conventional medicine, and with advanced qualifications in functional medicine and menopause care, our approach focuses on identifying the underlying imbalances and dysfunctions within the body – not just managing symptoms.

We combine in-depth consultations with advanced functional medicine laboratory testing and expert interpretation, allowing us to look at your biochemistry and what is really happening “under the bonnet” of your body.

Comprehensive Functional Medicine Testing

We offer a wide range of laboratory tests to gain a clear and detailed picture of your current health status, including assessment of:

  • Hormones

  • Adrenal function

  • Thyroid health

  • Immune function

  • Gut health and microbiome

  • Liver function

  • Mitochondrial health

  • Nutritional status

  • Lyme disease and co-infections

  • Long COVID

  • Food sensitivities

  • And much more

Restoring Balance at the Foundations

Our work focuses on restoring health at a foundational level. This includes optimising:

  • Nutritional status and mineral balance

  • Consistent, restorative sleep

  • Stress reduction and resilience

  • Mitochondrial health

  • Nervous system regulation

These core pillars are essential for restoring physiology, balance and long-term wellbeing.

Integrative & Evidence-Based Care

We work with natural medicine, including targeted supplements, herbs, botanicals and natural hormones, while also supporting and collaborating with conventional medicine where appropriate.

With our strong background in conventional healthcare, we can educate and guide you around options such as hormone replacement therapy or other medications, when clinically indicated.

Where laboratory testing is required, there is no more guessing and no wasting valuable time.

Your Path to Optimal Health

With the right information and a personalised approach, we work together to uncover the root causes of your health concerns and develop an individualised programme designed to help you achieve optimal health, energy and resilience.

If you are ready to stop feeling dismissed, overwhelmed or stuck, Barelycorn Clinic is here to support you every step of the way.
